Automation of processes, the use of artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things are increasingly impacting business. Companies that can leverage technology’s advantage will be better equipped to address the challenges of the future economy. Particularly, areas responsible for human capital will have the opportunity to focus on employee development and creatively respond to rapidly changing environmental, situational, and employee needs through automation.
According to the World Economic Forum, over 50% of the world’s workforce already needs digital re-skilling or additional digital skills.
Without acquiring new IT skills, these employees will not be able to grow and may even become a burden to organizations. Polish companies should already be implementing digital solutions that support internal processes and developing their employees’ IT skills. Without this, in 5-10 years, they will not be able to compete in their industry with organizations that are already doing this homework.
The Future Belongs to Human and Intangible Capital
It is also worth remembering young talents who are finishing their studies in our country. Over 100,000 science and technology graduates leave Polish universities every year. The future no longer belongs to tangible capital such as natural resources, but to human and intangible capital. Knowledge and creativity leading to innovation will be the greatest assets in building the future and strong economies. The US and China are already outpacing the rest of the world. The development and implementation of new solutions will be the key to success.
